Vegan Bánh Mì in Garden Grove
Layered, savory bánh mì built the way it's built in Saigon — entirely plant-based, from a kitchen where nothing else has ever been.
There's a specific disappointment in ordering a "vegetarian" bánh mì and getting a baguette with cucumber in it. That's not what we make. Our bánh mì is built the way it's built in Saigon — layered, savory, a little rich, with the pickles doing the work of cutting through everything else. The only difference is that ours is entirely plant-based, and it's made in a kitchen where nothing else has ever been.
We're on McFadden Avenue in Garden Grove, in the middle of Little Saigon, and we've been feeding this neighborhood since we opened as Inner Peace Café.
What's in the SGV Sub
Our house bánh mì. $8.95.
Baguette with vegan pâté (contains nuts), garlic aioli sauce, vegan bacon, hash brown, pickled carrots & daikon, cucumber, spring mix, lettuce, and chopped parsley — made to order, which means a short wait and a sandwich that hasn't been sitting under a lamp.
A fully vegan kitchen, not a vegan menu
Little Saigon has excellent vegetarian restaurants. We're something narrower: 100% vegan, across the entire menu, with no animal products in the building. No fish sauce in the back. No shared fryer. No "we can make it without the pâté."
If you're vegan for ethical reasons, that means you can order anything on the menu without a conversation. If you're avoiding dairy or eggs for medical reasons, it means there's nothing here to cross-contaminate with.
Where we are, and how far you actually are
We're at 10522 McFadden Ave, Ste F, on the corner of McFadden and Ward, next to La Quinta High School — inside Little Saigon, the largest Vietnamese community outside Vietnam.
Most people looking for vegan food in North Orange County end up at the same handful of places. We're closer than you'd guess:
- Westminster / Asian Garden Mall — about 2 miles west
- Stanton — about 6 miles south
- Santa Ana — about 5 miles west
- Anaheim & the Disneyland Resort area — about 6 miles south, roughly 15 minutes drive
- Anaheim Convention Center — about 6 miles south
- Buena Park / Knott's Berry Farm — about 6 miles south
- Fountain Valley — about 2 miles north
If you're staying near the Anaheim Resort and looking for real vegan food rather than the plant-based option on a theme-park menu, the drive north into Little Saigon is short, and there's parking in the lot.
