Garden Grove is home to one of the most vibrant Vietnamese communities in the country — and at Saigon Vegan, we honor that heritage one plant-based dish at a time. Our kitchen cooks the Vietnamese food people grew up with, made entirely without meat, fish sauce, or dairy. Whether you grew up on phở bò or you're discovering Vietnamese food for the first time, every dish here is made to taste like the real thing — because it is.
We're a family-owned restaurant in the middle of Little Saigon, and we've been feeding this neighborhood since we opened as Inner Peace Café.
Plant-based Vietnamese cuisine rooted in heritage
Vietnamese cooking has long had a tradition of chay — vegetarian and vegan versions of everyday dishes, cooked at home. That tradition is our foundation. Our broths are house-made and simmered slowly, our egg rolls are hand-rolled with taro and glass noodles, and everything is made to order.
This isn't health food marketed as Vietnamese. This is Vietnamese food that happens to be 100% vegan.

Yes — every dish on our menu is entirely plant-based. No meat, no fish sauce, no dairy, no eggs, and no animal products in the kitchen. Gluten-free options are available on request; please tell us about any food allergies when you order.
Do you serve vegan phở?
Yes. Our Pho Noodle Soup (Phở Bò Chay) comes with vegan beef strips, vegan meatballs, tofu, mushroom, scallions, onions, cilantro, and rice noodles in our house-made pho broth. It's $13.95 and one of our most-ordered dishes.
Is Saigon Vegan a traditional Vietnamese restaurant?
Yes. We cook Vietnamese home-style food — phở, bún bò Huế, bún thịt nướng, bánh mì — the way it's made in a Vietnamese family kitchen. The only difference is that everything is plant-based, in the chay tradition that has long been part of Vietnamese cooking.
